Disowned by her witch coven as a teenager, Henley was driven to Amos, a vampire loan shark. There’s little Henley hasn’t done to keep a roof over her head and food in her stomach as Amos trained her for his purposes. It all comes to a head when Amos assigns Henley and Alex, her newly found mate, to a job that can only lead to death.
Going up against the greatest threat the vampires have ever known, it’s clear one or both of them will not survive the encounter. However, as Alex begins to soften toward her, Henley must decide if giving them a chance is worth the effort, especially when she’ll likely be dead soon anyway.
Can Henley find her worth and true love before the mission ultimately claims her life?

Meet the Authors
Melanie was born in Michigan, USA where she lived until moving to Virginia to attend college. She majored in Business Management and minored in English. After graduating in 2009, Melanie added a Pomeranian puppy named Toby to her family. Soon after, Melanie got married and quit her day job to be a stay at home mom. She, her husband, 2 sons, and Toby live in Michigan where her husband attends college. She enjoys playing with her boys, reading, putting puzzles together, and of course, writing.
Heather is a lover of all books YA Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy, but it wasn’t until she was in college that she realized this. It’s likely why the book she wrote in 8th grade was rewritten several times and then set aside to sit on her bookshelf to never see the light of day. Once Heather found the genre that she enjoyed above all others, she dove back into reading, and with it, writing. That’s why even her Christmas books are filled with dragons and shifters.
Currently, Heather and her writing companion, Gunney, live in Wisconsin. He’s her Pomeranian that loves to keep her company while she writes and edits. He also keeps her on her toes. They can often be found wandering the local cemetery to escape the apartment, sitting out on the back deck, or snuggling on the couch writing. If Heather isn’t writing, she’s listening to music while crocheting, making Christmas ornaments, or reading. Some form of music is always playing, and each book has its own theme song or album.
